Hey all, My name is Patrice DeVeaux, I’m at the very young age of 23 just about figuring out about life and its many obstacles…”Born and Grow”, as the people in my county would say, in the beautiful country of Guyana (South America). I basically live the normal life of a young woman. I play indoor hockey, I party and I work. I bet you all want to know about my country. Well, here goes! Where I’m from we are considered as the land of many waters and we also have the largest single drop waterfall in the world, the Kaieteur Falls http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaieteur_Falls.
In my country we have a mix of all 6 races so everybody was a little of everything in them. Like other countries that have a lot of natural disasters my country doesn’t because we are located below the sea level so everything goes right over us. Our natural resources are bauxite, gold, diamonds, hardwood timber, shrimp, and fish. We also export sugar around the Caribbean. Lets just say that my little country does a lot. The nightlife isn’t bad either, partying starts from Wednesday to Sunday and lots of places to go.
My favorite places are the New Thriving Chinese Restaurant, The Palm Court Night Club and it’s also a food court in the day. Also the newly open night club Monaco. Shout out to my favorite DJ, DJ Kartel …Not forgetting 2Kontagious entertainment. Nuff love from Guyana. A place you should have on your list of countries to travel too.

Annie Rocq, born Rochelle Wilkins, is not your everyday girl. Born on the way to New York from Florida in a North Carolina hospital, her beginning years helped define her life forever. Annie's first memories of her childhood took place in Brooklyn, NY. She later moved to many different places including her parents native home, Jamaica. Once back in NY at the age of 17, Annie attended and Graduated from Monroe College New Rochelle, NY in 2010 at 21.
From her earlier years, she noticed that music was something that stuck; the only thing she had a genuine passion for. More specifically, she fell in love with Hip Hop and the culture. As a hobby, Annie Rocq started a blog about Hip Hop, gearing it towards the Underground Movement. "There are way too many unknown artists that have to be heard", she stated. Mainstream Hip Hop is just as interesting, "It's always great to hear a well known artist stick to the real format of Hip Hop". The name of the site is IhateNewMusicButUmm, a true testament to a point in time when most of the new music that was coming out was 'Straight Trash'. She was able to see through the BS, find, and post some of the best music. Next thing to do is find those artists, interview, take photos with them, and host their showcases and events. To help broaden her exposure to public, Annie Rocq became a model, bringing a face to the name. Fashion and style is also something that defines her; anyone who meets her sees this at first glance.
